Description
After working with the 4 basic operations with fractions, some students inevitably confuse the "rules". This foldable study guide is designed to provide students with a visual, parallel comparison of the basics for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. Seeing them in this format will reinforce the similarities and differences between the operations, which is a brain-friendly strategy!
Simply photocopy the two pages back-to-back, make one "hot dog" fold and two "hamburger" folds, then ask students to make three cuts along the topic titles side such that there are four separate "doors" revealing the four basic operations. Kinesthetic learners will benefit from the ability to open and close these "doors" as needed, while students who benefit from "chunking" information can reveal only the operations they want to see at the moment.
Notes and examples are provided in the foldable for you and your students to solve together. Enjoy!

Don't love this, very difficult explanation with important how to skills left out.
I purchased this for my own children to use. It's a great review/reminder for my 2 middle schoolers!
As I was reviewing fraction opterations with my students, this proved to be a very helpful tool, particuarly with my intervention group who needed it as a reference while working on word problems. Thank you for sharing.
