Description
These fraction task cards were a HIT with my firsties!
This is a collection of 12 open-ended fraction task cards to help your first or second graders extend their thinking with fractions. There is a recording sheet for your convenience at the end of the task cards! This would be great for individuals, partners, or even as a whole class review!
These cards review basic fractions such as 1/2, 1/4, etc., but they also help kids see fractions in different scenarios. A couple of the task cards have students make fractions to compare vowels and consonants. Some have students creating their own fractions, or follow simple guidelines to create fraction sets. This really gets their minds going!
