This activity will help your students demonstrate mastery in fraction word problems. Fraction word problems are often very difficult for students and this activity allows them to work together. Students have to provide explanations and models to demonstrate how to solve their problem. This activity uses the "expert group" strategy: students get to become an expert on one problem and then teach it to others.
