This is a two page Word Document that has six word problems total (three on each page with room to draw a model/picture). They are fraction word problems that require students to draw a picture or model.
Examples from the worksheets:
1. Mrs. Miller is making scarves. Each scarf will have 6 rectangles, and 4/6 of the rectangles will be purple. How many purple rectangles does she need for 3 scarves?
2. A baker cut a pie in half. He cut each half into 4 equal pieces. Then, he cut each of those pieces into 2 equal pieces. He sold 8 pieces of his pie. What fraction of the pie did he sell? Write that fraction in simplest form.
4. Mr. Beady has trays of paints for students in his art class. Each tray has 6 colors. One of the colors is purple. What fraction of the colors in 10 trays is purple?
