Description
This set of foldables provide students with an organized set of notes and practice problems on the rules of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions.
Option 1: This foldable includes 12 examples where students will need to model, summarize, write rules, add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. Some problems also involve integers and mixed numbers along with the fractions. You can use this to introduce each of the operations over a few days or use it as a review of previously learned skills. (Positive fractions/ integers/ mixed numbers only!)
Option 2: This foldable includes a total of 24 examples. Students will need to add, subtract, multiply, and divide a combination of positive and negative fractions, integers, and mixed numbers. I used this in an advanced 8th grade math class to review previously learned skills. There is also space to make notes about important things to remember when performing each of the operations.
Perfect for interactive math notebooks! I use this type of assignment during whole group guided instruction, but it would also work great for intervention, small group, centers, or during a tutoring session.
