Description
This fractions activity is fantastic! My students love it every year. Each student creates fractions based on his or her family members. The student must first identify how many total members are in the family (the denominator) and then create fractions based on how many males, females, adults, children, etc. After finishing the fractions, there is space for creating drawings/pictures for each fraction. Pets can be included, too! Additonally, I have included an extension activity on the 2nd page - student create pie and bar representations of the fractions from the 1st page. Enjoy!
