Build a whole lot of knowledge in a fraction of the effort with this no prep, digital fractions unit. This interactive fractions unit using Google Slides (TM) includes several activities that cover a range of fractions concepts.

Topics included in this unit are:

  • Fractions of Shapes & Regions
  • Unit Fractions
  • Fraction Vocabulary
  • Fractions and Sets
  • Fractional Parts of Sets
  • Fractions on Number Lines
  • Benchmark Fractions
  • Fractions & Measurement

There are so many ways you can use this resource. Project the activity on a large screen or interactive whiteboard for whole group instruction, or use for small guided-group instruction. Students can complete the activities and work independently or with partners using chromebooks or laptops during centers time. And since this resource was developed using Google Slides (TM), students can complete the digital pocket charts for homework , even when they are away from class.

The DIGITAL manipulatives using Google Slides (TM) make these activities fun and engaging. Directions on how to share this resource in Google Classroom (TM) as well as student directions and answer keys are included. The Google drive folder consists of three files:

*Fraction Foundations – activities for students to complete with a clear examples showing how to use the virtual manipulatives and explanations contained in sidebar "mini-lessons" on each slide describing the fraction concepts (16 p)

*Teacher Notes for Sharing– explains how to share resources using Google Classroom (7 p)

*Directions and Answer Keys– explains how to complete the activities and provides printable answer keys (7 p)

Loved it for distant learning. Kids where able to use this resource easily. Made teaching fractions easy. The students seemed to really understand fractions better with this resource and how the slides were creative.
