Free to the first 20 Downloads❣️ These booklets can be used as task cards at a center or stapled into a booklet for your students. There are a total of 5 pattern pages. They are printed 2-up and it is suggested that you cut them in half. You can use the stapled booklet to document the learning progression from describing, copying, extending, to creating patterns. Students can practice making train patterns and/or tower patterns.

Alternative Ideas:

  • Have students create ABC pattern trains and see how long they can build a train. Have them build another ABC pattern train and compare the two trains. They could build a third train and put them in order from smallest to tallest.

  • 8.5x5.5 Create your own ABC Pattern Card
  • Optional: Green, yellow, red, and blue cube images for cut and paste 
  • Optional: Cube images to color (or print on color paper) for cut and paste
