Description

This is the FREE mini version of my SEL problem-solving lesson!

The full paid resource includes 5 school-based scenarios, while this freebie features 2 scenarios to give you a preview of what the activity includes. If you find it helpful, please check out the full version to access all five scenarios!

This visually engaging SEL activity helps young learners practice applying problem-solving strategies to real situations they face at school. Through a relatable school-based scenario, students learn to pause, think, and make thoughtful, positive choices.

This resource includes opportunities for students to:

  • Understand school expectations and routines
  • Use problem-solving strategies
  • Consider how their choices affect others’ thoughts and feelings
  • Recognize consequences and predict outcomes
  • Connect choices with positive or negative results

Perfect for small groups, whole-class lessons, PowerPoint instruction, or reteaching, this activity sparks meaningful conversations about decision-making and conflict resolution. It reinforces that every choice has a consequence—and we have the power to choose wisely.

I hope you enjoy this freebie and put it to good use in your classroom! If you love it, the full version expands the learning even further. Please note the freebie is not editable, while the full version is!

This resource resembles a Boom Card activity, which my students loved. I had them come up to the board and circle their choices while I froze the screen—very hands-on and engaging. It helped them evaluate options and predict outcomes. I also appreciate that the freebie provides such a helpful preview of the full product; I plan to purchase the complete version for use in 2026! I truly enjoy your resources—they’re interactive, fairly-priced, kid-friendly, and perfect for my young learners.
