I use this in my class everyday. The kids LOVE it and even remind me to do it on days it slips my mind. I use this with my kids because telling tell is a life skill, so they need to know it, but I don't want to spend a whole day solely on telling time. The skill has already been taught, and I just don't want them to lose it. As the saying goes, "If you don't use it, you lose it". So how this activity works is the students have their Freeze Time cards (laminated) and a dry erase marker. Throughout the class I will periodically say "FREEZE" and all of my students know that they must pause their work and look up at the clock. Then they must write the time down.
