Description

Looking for a fun and engaging way to get your French primary students practicing their number sense skills... independently?

This French fall leaf-themed math centre might be just what you're looking for!

How to use this resource:

  • Cut out and laminate the trees that you prefer (number word or numeral) and all of the fall leaves.
  • You might choose to modge-podge the leafs onto "tree cookies" (round slabs of wood available on Amazon) to make this centre extra engaging!
  • Students will sort the leaves onto the correct trees.

This resource includes:

  • 2 "I Can" cards (one for trees with numerals and one for trees with number words)
  • 20 different tree trunks (1-10 in both numerals and number words)
  • 6 different representations (leaves) for each tree

The included "I Can" cards will help foster student independence - if they forget what to do during the centre, they can just check the directions!

Check out the preview above for more information.

Once the resource was printed and ready to go, it was easy to take out and use. My students loved this for morning work and math centres. I printed everything on cardstock and laminated, it's very easy to use and understand. Overall a great resource.

Used this lovely ressource at the beginning of the year as an exploration center. It is engaging for students, goes with the fall theme and is an excellent way of quickly checking student knowledge regarding numbers.
