Description
This French product allows students to research inventors in history from France, Switzerland, Belgium and Canada, all in "le monde francophone" and as a second project to create an invention of their own. The inventors' project includes some French, Swiss, Belgian & French Canadian inventors. The inventors span from the 1600s to the 1970s-more than 30 inventors! There are Student Project Directions & a teacher’s sheet with the inventors listed, their invention & the year that it was discovered. Also, included is a “marks” sheet. There are also 2 pages with a list of the inventors in a larger font so that it can be cut up & given to the students. This will give you the choice of either assigning a specific inventor to a student or to randomly “draw” the names from an envelope or hat.
Some of the inventors included are:
Louis Braille, Rudolf Diesel, Jacques Cousteau, Henri Fabre, Jean Nollet, Louis Pasteur, Louis Réard, Adolphe Sax, Camille Jénatzy and François-Louis Cailler.
Your Core French students are encouraged to be aware of subject/verb agreement, pronoun placement, correct verb tenses, sentence structures, correct use of accents along with acquiring researched information pertaining to the inventor, the invention itself, the impact of the invention on society and to include pictures of both the inventor and his invention.
Students are asked to use a presentation format of: PowerPoint, Word, or even making a Prezi.
This product is written in French.
The second project allows students to get creative as they create their own personal invention that may help out in today's daily lives!
