Description
The Velocity and Acceleration Simulation activity allows students to play a computer simulation for an interactive lab experience. The simulation utilizes a PHET simulation where students can analyze the effects of velocity or acceleration on an object as they try and guide the object through a maze. As a Science teacher it is difficult to find time to set up and tear down lab activities for every topic and simulation is a nice quick activity students can complete in one class period.
I have set up the lab simulation so that it is linked to the PHET html version of the simulation so that it is playable on devices such as laptops, desktops, ipads, chromebooks (which we use in my class), or other mobile devices. Students just scan the QR code at the top with their device and links them directly to the simulation. If they don't have a device to scan they can just enter the provided web address and then begin the simulation.
I hope you find this simulation helpful, Godspeed.
