What others say
"Seventh grade life science students enjoy the coloring, cutting and assembling. I enjoy using these consistent products, where students can make connections across representative "dissections.""

"I used this resource as a way to prepare for a full frog dissection. Great way to practice before the real thing."

Description
This activity is a perfect alternative to dissection or as an elaboration or evaluation. I have taught Biology for 36 years, and have done many real dissections of many different animals, but have changed my mind on whether students need a real frog to dissect in high school. Recently, I have given this activity to my students instead of doing a real dissection, and they have fun, stay safe and don't hurt any animals! Students who were absent during a real dissection could do this activity to make it up. It is a re-make of my first Frog Paper dissection with more questions and some editing on the procedural steps. Hope you and your students enjoy it! Happy cutting!

Great value
This year was my first year that I had a student who was a Vegan not want to do a dissection. this was a pretty simple cut, color & paste. Way too easy for freshmen biology but this would be great with middle schoolers!
Oh that’s good to know! I’ve made layer paper dissections more detailed. Perhaps I will revamp the frog! Thanks
good activity

i love this activity before frog dissections! i have my students popcorn reach paragraph, and between each paragraph we color and place the associated body part. it gives them a chance to see the structures before the real day
That’s a great idea!!!
