Wondering how your students can apply their learning in a way they are proud of? Seek no further, for this is a beloved project that I have used in my classroom, called Community Service Project: Dog Toy Donations. This can be a stand-alone assignment, or layered into a real-world hands-on project that involves connecting with your local dog shelters. Even my most reluctant of students were engaged in this - I'm guessing it's due to the love of dogs!
