The Kentucky Derby is the longest consecutively run sporting event in the U.S., and it has lots of fun Math involved. Join for a fun, rounding adventure!

Students will round racehorses' earnings to the nearest thousand, order the earnings from greatest to least, and then guess the order that the horses will finish.

Use these worksheets to practice rounding and practice comparing numbers. Students can complete digitally through Google Classroom, or on paper. Can be used individually or in groups.

Why use these worksheets? They require no prep, answer keys are included, they target key state standards including rounding and place value, and they are engaging. These are real numbers and real horses. Its fun to use Math for something that occurs in the real world.
