Description

This packet is a fun way to introduce your students to or extend their thinking about probability and data analysis. It includes a fun math game on probability and is followed by several worksheets that help students analyze the data they collected during the game.

Students begin by participating in ladybug races and recording their rolls and winners. Students analyze their data and complete a series of activities that practice:
-Calculating probability
-Graphing data
-Comparing data
-Determining median, mode, and range

Also included is a set of sentence frames to help your ELLs discuss probability using the appropriate vocabulary.

This item is included in my Fun with Probability Lesson Pack.

Though my district begins probability in 4th grade right now, it is not covered in Common Core until 7th grade. The NCTM standards begin probability in 3rd-5th, so I have listed the grade range as 3-7. Please check the preview and ensure that it is appropriate for YOUR students before purchasing. Originally used with ELLs and is also aligned with WIDA ELD standards.

Includes standard alignments, teacher instructions, student materials, and questions. Just add number cubes (dice)!

Please note that this item is included in my Fun with Probability Lesson Pack.
