This step by step, discussion driven, no-prep notes and practice set over Function Notation is a great way to teach & introduce reading and evaluating values of functions from a graph, table, equation and a mapping to your students. The first page of the notes are more instructional and go over plugging in x and y values to an equation to get their respective solutions with 3 examples to discuss together.  The second page can be used as independent practice or as guided practice, where students work independently, with a partner or within a small group.
