Description

Objective: To be able to graph function transformations (absolute value, quadratic, square root, cubic, and reciprocal), and use those graphs to describe relevant function behavior.

Types of functions: absolute value, quadratic, square root, cubic, and reciprocal

Function characteristics (no calculations need): domain, range, increasing int(s), decreasing int(s), x-int(s), y-int, vertical asymptotes, horizontal asymptotes.

Types of transformations: translations, reflections (x- and y-axis only), dilations (vertical and horizontal)*

*horizontal dilations do not require knowledge of factoring

INCLUDES:

  • Instructions
  • Task Cards (12)
  • Recording Sheet
