Description

Function or Not a Function Cut Out Activity

This resource contains 4 relations and students need to determine whether the given relation represents a function or not a function. Students will see the relation represented in four forms: given as a table, a graph, a mapping diagram, and a set of ordered pairs. Students will justify why the relation is a function by explaining either that it passes the vertical line test or that none of the x-values repeat.

Students will cut out all 16 boxes, and then glue them in the appropriate location. Students will then explain whether the relation represents a function or not a function and explain WHY.

This resource could even be used as a graphic organizer by simply printing the answer key for students to use as a way to study.

Answer Key and Detailed Solutions Included.

NO PREP NEEDED.
