Description
Functional reading task cards for students with special needs. Great for use with students on the Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities and more. Use them for IEP goals, IFSP goals, informal assessments and independent work tasks.
This is the first set of functional reading task cards with more to come. These words were chosen as words that are crucial for students in order to communicate their wants and needs, improve their social skills, know for safety purposes and increase their expressive communication and vocabulary with words necessary for daily living, life skills, and common people and places. The included data sheet is great to use for data collection on an IEP goal or just to measure success after completion at independent work-stations.
Use the two different types of task cards to ensure that students can connect a word with the corresponding image and that same image with the correct corresponding word. There are also two sets of each of those two versions (word to image and image to word) to promote generalization with the words and images, which brings the total to 60 pre-made task card for student use. The document as a whole is 71 pages with the 60 task cards, 1 data sheet and other informative pages about the product.
What's Included!?
- PDF of 60 pre-made task cards for 15 functional reading words.
- 15 words: 5 focusing on safety/daily living/life skills topics (stop, walk, look, fire, and wash hands), 5 focusing on people and places (mom, dad, doctor, police and car), and 5 focusing on communicating wants and needs/social skills (yes, no, help, eat and sleep).
