Description
Riddles are a great way to make a boring worksheet fun. However, I found students knew the answer to the riddle and just chose the answers to fill in the letters without doing any of the math. This way, students have to create the riddle before they can answer it.

This was an amazing resource! Perfect to keep my students engaged and practicing!
Great resource! Students were engaged and this was a great way to have my students practice.
This was a really great way to make a riddle that required the students to complete ALL of the work in order to complete the riddle. Thank you!
Finally, a riddle resource that my students can't puzzle out the answer and short cut their practice! Thank you.
Great resource to use with your students. The kids enjoyed this.

Use the distributive property to express a sum of two whole numbers 1–100 with a common factor as a multiple of a sum of two whole numbers with no common factor. For example, express 36 + 8 as 4 (9 + 2).
