Description

This is a three page graphing activity that guides students in obtaining data and designing their own graphs to reflect their data using bubble gum! The data is based on bubble gum mass and bubble size (diameter).

Students compare three variables among two different brands, and must determine which variables to graph and how to set up their graph. This has just enough information to challenge students and can be used as formative assessment. It is editable for the younger grades.

An example chart and graph is included, along with answers, tips to consider, and a note to the teacher.

Covers the following:

✽ Qualitative vs. Quantitive Data

✽ Independent vs. Dependent Variables on the x and y axes

✽ Relationships on Graphs

✽ Students also calculate percentage of increase and decrease on 3rd page

... and more!

This activity can be found in my Graphing Package.
