I think the prepared PPT by seller provides a good outline a teacher can follow when creating a Genetics PPT from scratch. I wished the editable slides had the same content (images, written content) the pdf version has. The editable slides are simply the respective image of the background with subtopic that is enlarged so each slide is blurry. The only part of each slide that is not blurry is the text box that you would have to fill out. The Punnett Square, homozygous, and heterozygous slides are bit too simplified for middle school grades, a bit outdated in terms of the latest research findings, and I believe the lesson overall is missing key information that is needed to get a better understanding of the slides mentioned earlier. The heterozygous slide is confusing. The example used for this slide is of a completed Punnett Square with the brown eyes being the recessive gene (b) and the blue eyes being the dominant gene (B) in the completed Punnett Square. I think it would be better if this example was not of eye colors and so I ended up creating examples of my own, so I don't confuse my students.

NGSSMS-LS3-1
Develop and use a model to describe why structural changes to genes (mutations) located on chromosomes may affect proteins and may result in harmful, beneficial, or neutral effects to the structure and function of the organism. Emphasis is on conceptual understanding that changes in genetic material may result in making different proteins. Assessment does not include specific changes at the molecular level, mechanisms for protein synthesis, or specific types of mutations.
