Are you in need of a quick activity for your students to practice geometry reflections? This Task Card Mystery Puzzle will help students practice reflecting a point across either the x-axis or y-axis.


Included in this resource:

  • Aligning Common Core Standards
  • Instructions for Students
  • Task Card Mystery Puzzle (8 Questions)
  • Answer Key

In this Mystery Puzzle, students will be asked to reflect a point across either the x-axis or y-axis. They will need to find the coordinate pair for both the pre-image and the image. They will choose a question from a drop-down menu, then answer it in the corresponding answer box. This activity is self-grading. If students answers correctly, the cell will turn green and pieces to the mystery puzzle will appear. If students choose incorrectly, the cell with turn red.

  • Independent In-Class Activity (In-person or Virtual)
  • Homework Assignment
  • Math Centers
  • Review Before an Assessment
  • Differentiation activity because it includes answer choices
