Description
This anchor chart will help your students understand the difference between 2D and 3D shapes and help them remember each shape's characteristics.
Anchor chart includes:
* Title
* 2-D and 3-D labels
* 2-D shape pictures of square, rectangle, triangle, and circle
* 3-D shape pictures of cube, rectangular prism, square pyramid, and sphere
* characteristics of both 2-D and 3-D shapes (see below)
* directions for assembly
** Please note how each shape is described in anchor chart**
square - quadrilateral with 4 equal sides, 4 right angles all sides are equal
rectangle - quadrilateral with 4 sides and 4 right angles
triangle - 3 sides and 3 angles
circle - 0 sides and 0 angles, curved line
cube - 8 vertices, 12 edges, 6 faces, all faces are squares
rectangular prism - 8 vertices, 12 edges, 6 faces, all faces are squares or rectangles
square pyramid - 5 vertices, 8 edges, 5 faces
sphere - 0 vertices, 0 edges, 0 faces
