Description

Description: Students will observe what 3-Dimensional shapes make up the world around them - they will surprised at what they find! They will then make the shapes and discover the cross sections inside.

Common Core Standard: 7.G.3 (and more)

Materials: Play-doh or clay (enough for each student to have about half a handful), a roll of dental floss

Student Learning Goals:

(1) Students will be able to recognize, name, and draw 3-dimensional shapes.

(2) Students will be able to recognize and draw the vertical and horizontal cross sections of 3-dimensional figures.
