Description
Introducing students to geometric proofs in a geometry class can be a difficult task for both teachers and students. I created this introductory lesson to help get my students' brains in gear. After teaching the first few introductory chapters the kids should have some understanding of basic definitions, postulates and theorems. This worksheet will help them "squeeze" as much information as possible from "givens" in formal proofs. Since I started using this paper and other similar worksheets my students have had an easier time with geometric proofs.
If you are a new teacher it can be difficult and time consuming to come up with brand new effective lessons for your kids. This paper will not only help the students but help new teachers get a better understanding of the foundation of proofs.

This resource provides plenty of practice to help students develop and strengthen their proof-writing skills. An added bonus is that answer keys are included, making the worksheets convenient for teachers to grade and easy to use for homework or classwork.
