My students actually gave me the idea and helped me create this project and I am so excited to share it!
In this project/activity, students will need origami paper (I got a pack of 200 on Amazon for $6) to create 4 easy level shapes. The project is given to students in the form of a Google Slides presentation. There are introduction and direction slides, and then a slide per figure. On the slides in which students create the origami, there is a link to a Youtube video to give students step-by-step instructions. After they have created the shape, they are asked a series of questions about the polygons that are created by their folds. They are able to type their answers directly into the Google Slides. There are 16 questions total about the 4 shapes they are to create. The questions they answer include classifying polygons and quadrilaterals, measures of exterior angles, measures of interior angles, and convex vs. concave polygons. On the last slide, students are given some other fun videos if they want to create different artwork of their choice. The answers are also given for teachers in the last 4 slides.
I am so excited to hang these in my classroom when they are done!
