These Geometry Plug-Ins are a great way to get your students used to practicing the basic concepts of :
-Area of a Parallelogram
-Area of a Trapezoid
-Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism
-Area of a Square
-Area of a Triangle
Your "kiddos" can use these "plug-ins" with the measurements from textbook, worksheet, and other practice problems. They are especially effective at math centers or used in small group, in collaboration with measurable 2/3-D objects.
For 5th Graders, already struggling with the concept of geometry, these "plug-ins" provide students with the formulas of key 2/3 D shapes so that students can work through word and general math problems, while simultaneously making sense of their calculations.
My students wanted to measure everything just so that they could use these cards and dry-erase markers! I hope that your classroom community finds the same enthusiasm for learning about measurement, using this set!
