From the sphere called earth I can see a new universe called geometry.
Lines, edges, shapes, faces, vertices, flat surface, sides, reflection, line symmetry

Lines come together at the vertex
They change direction to the next
Turning into edges a new form they take
Closing at a vertex to form a shape
Triangle, circle, rectangle and square
Two-dimensional shapes aren’t very rare
So turn your head and see what you saw
Can’t find a shape? Well take your pencil and draw

Now come with me to the 3rd dimension
Don’t need no 3-D glasses to get your attention
Solid figures are poppin’ off the page
Where rectangular prisms are all the rage
It’s like real life you can reach out and grab it
Shape figure finding hobby got a new habit
Identify. Solid figures are so near
Cube, cone, cylinder, pyramid and sphere

Verse 3
Combining shapes will create a new norm
Shapes that are the same have got congruent form
You can move a figure in different ways
Reflection, translation, rotation are their names
Reflection. Like in the mirror you see
Translation. Move or slide but no turning
Rotation. Like a wheel that goes around
