Description

This activity is ready to upload in your Google Classroom!

This pack contains ELEVEN different sorting, labeling, and drawing activities for your students.

First, students will be able to identify the difference between a shape that is a polygon and a shape that is not considered a polygon. They will also have the opportunity to get creative and make or find their own shapes and sort them into "Polygons" and "Not Polygons." You can get this FREE by clicking here!

Student will then sort angles by identifying acute angles, right angles, and obtuse angles. They will also be able to draw their own angles to sort on the 5th page.

Next, students will be sorting given triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons. They will also be able to continue their creativity by drawing their own polygons to sort!

Students will then look at polygons and determine whether the given polygon has parallel lines or not. They will then get to draw their own polygons that have/do not have parallel lines.

After that, students practice naming polygons and students will be able to use the drawing and shapes tools on Google slides to create their own polygons!

Last, students will sort shapes based on whether the shapes are cut in halves, thirds, or fourths.

**** I hope you and your students enjoy these activities!

This product can also be used as a printable! The slides will fit nicely only a regular 8.5 x 11 paper. If you choose to print this resource, it can be used as a cut & paste activity.

Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
