Students make their own Geometry Town! They are given a checklist to go through for their creating!
STUDENTS WILL NEED A PIECE OF PAPER, CONSTRUCTION PAPER, or POSTER SHEET TO CREATE THEIR TOWN.
The checklist includes roads that represent types of lines (Intersecting, Perpendicular, and Parallel). They get to use rulers for this .Also, they get to make Polygon Houses :)
Directions:
"You will be the architect in charge of creating a town map of what you plan to build for Geometry Neighborhood. You will be given a ruler to use for straight edges. You need to show the following items on your map…."
This is a fun assignment to assign on Google Classroom and students to present in a video on google classroom. I've even had students add pictures of their finished project. Great for distance learning.
