This is an 8-page booklet made with just two sheets, for students to learn basic facts about George Washington.

This is an excellent way to integrate social studies with language arts, teaching Informational text features: Table of contents, photographs, subtitles, and timeline.

On each page, the students draw and write about the life and legacy of George Washington. The last page is for students to write an opinion: "If I was a President"

Depending on the class, instruct students to work in pairs or individually to create the booklet. Alternatively, guide them to illustrate each page of the booklet.

To save time, consider making the booklets in advance.

Students paste the booklet inside the journal by gluing only its spine and pressing it into the crease.

All instructions are included.

Most importantly, students will enjoy reading the booklet to each other!!!
