This is a complete activity that can be done in class or for a homework assignment.

This covers George Washington's Farewell Address and asks students to analyze the text to determine Washington's feelings regarding issues around formation of a single government, political parties, education and foreign policy as well as ask students to support their claim about Washington's position on these issues with text evidence gathered from the document.

I provided a modified & excerpted version of the text as well as provided links to the library of congress from the complete text. Yes there is vocabulary box too provided on the handout to help students who struggle with vocabulary.
