A diverse and inclusive Gestalt Language story book that follows a student throughout the school day, from waking up to returning home. Each story page includes sequential steps and locations throughout the day with gestalts relevant to each situation. Each page includes an action for your students to take, making the story more interactive.

⭐️ Pretend Play Stories - 2 STORIES included

Stories were inspired by Antoinette Portis books "Not a Stick" and "Not a Box" and customized for Gestalt Language Processors (GLP). Both stories follow the same format - a child pretending a single object represents other objects in imaginary play. Read them before introducing pretend play in therapy, or use the stories with gestalt language processors who engage in pretend play to offer potential meaningful gestalts.

⭐️ Let's Go to the Zoo Story

This book is about a visit to the zoo, taking photos of different zoo animals and looking through those photos afterward on your phone. Use it to offer potential gestalts while commenting on pictures in a phone's camera roll, and model for gestalt language processors the different reasons a picture may not have turned out well.

It is recommended that suggested chunks of language be modelled for gestalt language processors without any expectations placed on the child. Model the phrases with vibrant intonation and trust that if it resonates for the child, they might incorporate the language into a gestalt of their own.
