I have made several interactive books – they are one of my favorite things to use in therapy! This one is slightly different. I’m calling it a REVERSE interactive book. Instead of placing items into the book, your students will be taking them OUT.
This book is appropriate to use around St. Patrick’s Day.
Set Up: Print and laminate the pages of the book (pgs. 3-15). Print and laminate pgs. 16 and 17. Cut out the coins and the door. Affix the door on pg. 4 of the book (picture below). Place the soft side of Velcro on the coins and the hard side in the book in the appropriate places. Place the coins in the book before you begin reading. Place the hard side of Velcro on pg. 17 (10 pieces). Students will be taking the coins out of the book and putting it on this page to fill up the pot of gold.
There is a poster for targeted spatial concepts (pg. 18) and 12 yes/no question cards (pg. 19-20).
