The first icebreaker is an All About Me Poster in which students complete seven or ten questions about themselves (the difference in the number of questions comes from the two different versions--a traditional favorites poster and a non-traditional poster). You can have students color their posters and display these on your wall for Open House. There is a one page directions sheet that explains how to effectively use both of the two poster styles.
The second icebreaker is the popular Would You Rather? game in which students have to decide between two questions. There are 48 colorful PowerPoint Slides and 48 ink-saving black and white task cards that come four to a page (click here to see this product Would You Rather). There is a one page directions sheet that explains how to effectively use this game to get your students up, moving, and laughing.
The third icebreaker is Race to Place in which students must arrange themselves according to your directions. Ex: Line up according to shoe size from biggest to smallest. There are 36 task cards that come four to a page (a sample of the task card is located on page two of the preview). There is a one page directions sheet that explains how to effectively use this game to get your students up, moving, and competing.
The fourth icebreaker is called Quick Chat Lines which is similar to the speed dating concept (but totally appropriate) where students form lines to ask each other questions, find out each others responses, and then move to find another person to talk to. There are 40 task cards that come four to a page (a sample of the task card is located on page three of the preview). There is a one page directions sheet that explains how to effectively use this game to get your students up, moving, and talking.
The fifth icebreaker is a Find Someone Who activity in which students find different classmates and ask them one of the questions on their sheet. There is a one page directions sheet that explains how to effectively use this activity for fun or for competition with your students.
