Description
Use these google slides while working with a small group or one on one with a student. What an excellent way to practice counting for numbers 0-10 or use during an assessment. You can assign in Google Classroom, or share your screen during a Zoom and give the student control to move the gingerbread man to the correct number after they have counted.
Students apply one to one correspondence to count the number of gingerbread men on each tray. The gingerbread men (on the trays) have been flattened into the background of each slide so if your student is counting on a touch screen device there is no risk of deleting or moving a gingerbread man.
User Tips:
- Make sure your students have the google slides app if they are using an iPad or tablet to access this activity. Without the app, they won't be able to move the gingerbread man over the correct number.
- Use this activity in EDIT mode, NOT IN PRESENT. If you are in present mode, you will not be able to move the movable pieces around.
What's Included:
There are 11 slides, with tray of cookies on each slide. Each slide is asking students to count the number of gingerbread men they see and then cover up the correct number with a moveable gingerbread card.
FAQs:
Q: What if my student doesn't know how to move the gingerbread card?
A: If working one on one with the student during screen share, I move the gingerbread card to a number and ask that student, "Is this the number you counted?" and use their response to determine their understanding of number recognition/counting skills.
Please be sure to ask any additional questions prior to purchasing! Do not forget to leave feedback after your purchase! Not only do you earn TpT credits, BUT I welcome constructive feedback as I learn more and more about creating for Google Slides!
