Description

Do your students need to work on their 2D shape recognition skills? Are you looking for independent work task boxes to add to your special education classroom? Or are you looking for some fun, educational Gingerbread Man activities? If so, this 2D shape Gingerbread Man task box activity is perfect for your math centers and special education classroom.

The 2D shapes included are;

  • Circle
  • Diamond
  • Heart
  • Hexagon
  • Octagon
  • Oval
  • Pentagon
  • Rectangle
  • Square
  • Star
  • Trapezoid
  • Triangle

Instructions

  • Print out the included task cards and symbol cards.
  • Cut out and laminate all of the pieces included.
  • Students have to match the basic 2D shape pieces onto the gingerbread man shape task cards.

These task cards are best used when laminated. This way they will be stronger, longer lasting and reusable. They will be a great addition to your math centers, and Gingerbread Man activities.

These task cards fit perfectly into photo storage boxes - making it easy for you to stay organised and keep all the pieces together.

I added velcro to the laminated sheets before placing them into a 3 ring binder. This seemed to attract more children. A simple, but powerful activity which lends itself well to instructional chats!
