Description

INTERACTIVE SMARTBOARD SLIDES | ANIMATED. Help even your neediest special education students connect with core vocabulary using these animated, visually simple and repetitive slides on your smartboard to engage them during AAC group or circle time.

Great also to use in the Preschool and Early Intervention classrooms.

The gingerbread man flies into view with a shopping bag and stops. A sentence appears at the bottom of the screen naming the toy in his bag. Students tap or click the gingerbread man to make him go again.

This animated interactive smartboard slide show has a companion printable adapted book (includes an Easel Activity) you can use alone or use in follow-up as a hands-on activity. The Easel format is drag and drop. Click here to view Gingerbread Man Run Adapted Book.

FEATURING:

  • Animated – The Gingerbread Man runs across the screen.

  • Fun cartoon sound effects.

  • Targets core words STOP and GO, but could be used with a variety of other core words, such as, WHAT, LOOK, IN, MORE, or LIKE.

  • Great holiday activity.

HOW TO USE THIS INTERACTIVE SLIDESHOW ACTIVITY:

  • Teach beginning pragmatic (social) language skills: Sitting with others, turn taking, waiting,

  • Target early communication skills - Joint attention, pointing, choice making.

  • Practice core words on AAC devices.

  • Use in conjunction with a big core board.

  • Build vocabulary – Identify or label single words, describe, define.

  • Increase MLU - Expand from words to phrases.

  • Answer simple “wh” questions (what, where, who).

  • Build literacy skills
