Description

Learning to Invent is a package of instructional materials for children in Grades K and 1. It is designed to be used by classroom teachers or extracurricular activity leaders who want to introduce young children to basic principles of inventing and design in a project-based format. The program includes an Introduction for teachers, six session guides, supplementary worksheets, an Inventor's Notebook, and a rubric and individual student score sheet for those who want to use the materials as part of an invention competition. The program has been developed by professionals with 25 years combined experience in the K-8 invention space.

K-1 Standards Met: Aligns to Common Core ELA, as well as NGSS and ISTE Technology Standards.
