The primary source is a brief excerpt describing the brutality of the gladiators and entertainment that took place in the Roman Colosseum. It is a great opportunity to allow your students to read an early primary source for world history of what took place in Rome.
Following the reading is a set of analysis questions for students to reflect on what they read. An answer key for these questions is provided for your convenience. Additionally, if you use the Google Docs version, the questions can be edited to fit your students needs.
