Description

Need a fast game for your students to review the value of a digit in a number? Played like regular Go Fish, students must find four cards to complete a set : two number versions, a value, and the value written in word form.

The deck consists of underlined 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and 7s so that students can't just look for underlined 5s and make a set. They must focus on the location of the underlined digit to determine whether they are looking for 3,000 or 30,000, for example.

A sample set might include:

  • 30,000
  • thirty thousand
  • 934,183
  • 138,164

All cards have six digits.

Skills Practiced

-Determine the value of an underlined digit in both word and number form.

Three sets of cards have been included:

-2 color sets (2 different colors because I like to keep two sets of the same game in a folder for groups to use)

-1 black & white, minimal ink set
