Description

This product follows along side the 5th Grade Go Math Book. It is a quick and easy tool to document what the students know before and after a chapter. Each sheet allows the teacher or student to track which sections from the chapter the students have strengths and weaknesses in.

The first column lists each section within the chapter. It also lists an I CAN statement based upon the essential question for that section. The next two columns are where you can record information from a pretest and post test. Each column has the question number in the row of the section that question comes from in the chapter. You can use either form A or B from the Go Math book.

I have used this sheet in two ways. I have my students take a pretest before every section. After the test, either my students or I would go though their test and circle each question they had got correct on their test. I can use this information to tell within which areas the students struggle and excel.

If all the questions are circled in that area, I know that is an area of strength for that student. If they circle no questions, it is an area of weakness.

Finally, at the end of each chapter, we take the same test. The students or I will go back through and circle the questions that the students got correct. Hopefully, the second time around the students have more questions circled in the post-test column than the do in the pretest column.

This is a great resource to record data on student growth through out the year.
