Description

Review days don't have to be boring! These interactive, self-checking Boom Cards are a fun and effective way for students to review for an assessment on Measuring Angles. Assign them 1-2 days before a test to give students targeted review, and use the instant data to identify those who need additional support.

Students love Boom Cards for their game-like format and instant feedback—mine even begged to 'play' them! As a teacher, I loved how these decks built confidence and ensured my students were well-prepared for my chapter tests and later for state assessments. Try a small sample❤️HERE❤️and see why everyone LOVES Boom Cards!

Topics include:

  • Fractional Parts of a Circle
  • Degrees of a Circle
  • Measuring Angles
  • Additive Angles
  • Finding Unknown Angle Measures

Because they are self-checking, students receive immediate feedback after each question. That is their WOW factor! I've had parents tell me how helpful Boom Cards were for them, too!

They are also a NO PREP resource. Copy and paste a link to Google Classroom, Schoology, Boom Learning, or whatever online platform you use. That is about as low prep as it gets!

PLEASE NOTE: Boom Cards can be used through a FREE or paid account, depending on what features you would like access to.

This deck aligns with Chapter 11 in the 4th grade Go Math curriculum, but can be used with any unit on angles.

Ideas for use:

✅ Math review center

✅ Pretest

✅ Choice board activity

✅ Homework assignment

✅ Whole class review game

✅ Daily review for test prep

Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a “one-degree angle,” and can be used to measure angles.
An angle that turns through 𝘯 one-degree angles is said to have an angle measure of 𝘯 degrees.
