"I loved the visuals and how straight forward the notes were with key terms. This was helpful in sending home the notes for families to see what was being taught in class."

Description

Happy Back To School for the 2025 School Year!

This file contains guided illustrated notes or reference of all the math strategies featured in the Go Math First Grade curriculum. This document was created to illustrate for parents and caregivers the strategies being taught in class. However, its uses have grown to include in class anchor charts, notes in notebooks, use in homework folders and so much more. This file is a PDF.

Each lesson from chapters 1 - 12 are presented two lessons per page on letter size paper (8.5" x 11") in horizontal position. The packet can be printed as is with a full page cover and table of contents or the pages can be cut into half and stapled together with a half page cover and table of contents. Sorry, these pages cannot be arranged in a back-to-back booklet at this time.

Please note that these strategies are not simply "copied" from the Go Math texts. However, the notes are my interpretation of what the main idea of the lesson is. In some cases, I provide students with additional explanation of a strategy or concept to ensure comprehension. Please see the preview pictures for examples of what is included.

Distance Learning: This resource provides students with visual representations on how to best complete problems. You can include this resource in assignments for your Google Classroom to guide students to complete assigned problems.
