Description

Goal setting is rewarding for everyone!

This bright vibrant wall display will allow your students to set, monitor and chart their progress, against the goal arrow, until they achieve their reading goal. Students will take ownership of their own learning by identifying skills in reading they feel they need to improve in. Using weekly conferences with the teacher students can decide how their progress towards their goal is going using the four levels of achievement.

The four levels, I’m ready to begin; I’m having a go with help; I’m doing it with occasional help and I’ve reached my goal, are easy for the younger students to understand and track their own progress with limited teacher input. Student goals and progress can be recorded by the teacher on their tracking BLM.

The goal cards can be laminated before use to allow for easy reuse or create a record of your students’ achievements by gluing the goal into a scrapbook after achievement. There is a rainbow striped and white background version of each page with 4 success postcards that can be sent home when the goal is achieved.

I just hung this in my for some friendly competition. The kids can see where they are and the goal they are trying to get to.
