Description
Academic, Social and Post-secondary/Participation goal setting for the beginning of each school year. Works well in an Advisory, Homeroom, or Study/Life Skills setting. I usually collect them and then mail them home at the end of first semester (halfway point), with a label that says:
So, this was you… way back in September.
What’s different now?
Are you achieving your goals?
Have you faced challenges along the way?
Are you overcoming them?
Are you asking for-and getting- help?
Keep going… you can do it!
Students find this activity useful and thought-provoking, especially because they have to anticipate obstacles and determine that they WILL be able to overcome them, and that they have resources.
