2025 Create Performance Task Lessons

The resource contains three lessons, student handouts, and teacher resources needed to implement the 2025 Create Performance Task. These resources are specific to the Python programming language but can be adapted to fit any language you need because the resource is completely editable.

Lesson 1: Understanding the Create Performance Task

Objectives

• Understand the requirements of the Create Performance Task.
• Understand how to use AI ethically to help you with your Create PT

Lesson 2: Complete Create PT Example

Objective

• Walk through a complete Create PT (coded in Python) from beginning to end.

Lesson 3: Practice Written Responses and Prepare to Start Create PT

Objective

• Walk through four sample written responses from the new 2024 AP CSP exam.

Included with these lessons:

• PowerPoint slides to teach the above lessons
• Two handouts to help students reference information in the above lessons
• Create performance task timeline guide to help students pace through the Create PT in class
• PowerPoint slides with opening and exit slides for each day of the Create PT

All of these resources come in a zip folder, and are completely editable to fit your classroom needs. The formats include Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, plus PDFs for convenience.
